  4. Question and answer with our charter base managers

In the last few weeks we have been busy interviewing experienced sailors, professionals of all things sailing related. If you are still unsure where to go on your next boating holiday in Italy, this article will hopefully give you some extra tips on what's so great about the most wonderful sailing areas in the Italian peninsula. We will hear then the voice of the base managers of the charter companies we work with. You will see them in their natural habitat in the different seaside resorts where they live and work. They will not only give you advice on sailing but will also provide you with suggestions on the best bays and boat itineraries. Finally most of them couldn't resist and they will reveal to us their tips for a genuine food and wine treat in their most favourite trattorias and restaurants. You can enable English subtitles by clicking on the Gear icon at the bottom right of the video, then select Subtitles - English.

A word from an expert sailor (and local!)

Portorosa is a strategic port from which you can easily get to the Aeolian Archipelago as it's just 15 miles from the closest island, Vulcano. In this Q&A we explore the Aeolian Archipelago with Marco, Dream Yacht Charter base manager in Portorosa.  Given the proximity of the islands from one another, only 6-8 miles apart, what makes sailing around the seven sisters so special and peculiar is visiting a different island every day.  Read the full article here

Explore the islands in the Gulf of Naples with Maurizio

From Procida, we set sail to Ischia, Capri then off to Palmarola, together with Maurizio, base manager in Procida.

Already from afar, when the port of Marina Grande can barely be seen, the first thing that amazes about Procida is the colourful ensemble of houses. A rainbow of colours that welcomes sailors welcoming all to this small island. A little less touristy than the others and so extraordinarily authentic. The beauty of Procida is right here, in the fishermen, the blue sea, the anchored boats. "Amalfi, Positano, the Amalfi Coast are certainly among the most beautiful places to visit in these areas. But the islands are the most wonderful beauty around here. We are based in Procida and seeing the Corricella from the sea with its explosion of colours is truly breathtaking" comments Maurizio. Read the full article here
