Itinerary 1: Southern Dalmatian Islands

Day 1: Split to Milna (Brač Island)

  • Nautical miles: 20 NM

  • Travel time: approx. 4 hours

Highlights: Milna is known for its deep bay and beautiful marina. Stroll through the town’s charming streets, visit the Church of Our Lady of Annunciation, and enjoy a meal at one of the waterfront restaurants. The sheltered harbour is perfect for a relaxed first night on the sailboat.

Zlatni Rat Beach is one of Croatia's most iconic beaches, known for its unique shape and crystal-clear waters. If you want to reach it from Milna, allow a sailing trip of approximately 2 hours and 10 NM.

By boat: Explore the secluded coves around Milna, such as Osibova Bay and Lučice Bay, perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

Day 2: Milna to Hvar Town (Hvar Island)

  • Nautical miles: 15 NM

  • Travel time:  approx. 3 hours

Highlights: Hvar Town is a bustling hub of activity, renowned for its nightlife and historic sites. Explore St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the 16th-century Spanjola Fortress, which offers panoramic views of the town and surrounding islands. Don’t miss the Franciscan Monastery and its beautiful collection of art and artefacts.

By boat: Sail around the Paklinski Islands, a beautiful archipelago near Hvar, ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying lunch at a beachside restaurant.

Day 3: Hvar Town to Vis Town (Vis Island)

  • Nautical miles: 13 NM

  • Travel time: approx. 2.5 hours

Highlights: Vis Town is a blend of ancient history and Mediterranean charm. Visit the Archaeological Museum housed in the old Austrian fort, and explore the Roman ruins scattered around the town. The local cuisine is exceptional, with fresh seafood being a highlight.

By boat: Visit Stiniva Bay, a stunning secluded cove on the southern coast of Vis, known for its dramatic cliffs and clear waters.

Day 4: Vis Town to Komiža (Vis Island)

  • Nautical miles: 6 NM

  • Travel time: approx. 1.2 hours

Highlights: Komiža is a quaint fishing village with a rich maritime history. Visit the Fishermen's Museum in the old Venetian tower and take a boat trip to the Blue Cave on Biševo Island, a natural wonder with mesmerizing blue light.

By boat: Explore the nearby Green Cave on Ravnik Island and the Monk Seal Cave, both offering unique swimming experiences.

Day 5: Komiža to Stari Grad (Hvar Island)

  • Nautical miles: 20 NM

  • Travel time: approx. 4 hours

Highlights: Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through the narrow streets, visit Tvrdalj Castle, the summer residence of the poet Petar Hektorović, and explore the local shops and cafes.

By boat: Anchor in the quiet coves of Stari Grad Bay, such as Tiha Bay, for a peaceful swim and relaxation.

Day 6: Stari Grad to Split

  • Nautical miles: 25 NM

  • Travel time: approx. 5 hours

Highlights: Return to Split, a city rich in Roman history. Spend the evening exploring Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and stroll along the Riva promenade. Enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the city’s many excellent restaurants.

By boat: On the way back, stop by the Blue Lagoon near Drvenik Veli for a final swim in the turquoise waters.

Wake up at the marina in Split. Spend the day visiting the bustling Green Market, explore the historic old town, and take in the vibrant atmosphere of the city before your departure.

Itinerary 2: Central Dalmatian Islands

Day 1: Split to Supetar (Brač Island)

  • Nautical miles: 10 NM

  • Travel time: ~2 hours

Highlights: Supetar is the main town of Brač Island, offering a mix of cultural sights and beach relaxation. Visit the Church of the Annunciation with its stunning bell tower, and relax on the nearby beaches. The town's waterfront promenade is perfect for an evening stroll. 

By boat: Embark on an exploration of Brač's northern coast, where hidden gems like Lovrečina Bay await for serene swimming and delightful picnicking.

Day 2: Supetar to Bol (Brač Island)

Highlights: Bol is renowned for Zlatni Rat, one of Croatia's best beaches, known for its unique shape and crystal-clear waters. Spend the day swimming and sunbathing at this iconic beach. Also, explore the historic Dominican Monastery and its museum. The town has a vibrant nightlife with numerous bars and restaurants.
